LEGO Private Detective Office

I've been collecting the LEGO City Creator Expert series buildings since 2012. I was stressing out big time and needed something to take my mind off the stress of everyday life. So I grabbed the Grand Emporium from the LEGO store and the rest is history.

Last year's building is the Private Investigator's Office. A pretty cool set. On the first floor is a billiard (pool) hall and barber shop. There is a secret passage under the stairs that connects the pool hall and barber shop. There is a police officer getting her hair cut in the barber shop while the bad guys hang out in the pool hall. Pretty funny.

On the second floor is the PI's office and his apartment. There is a third floor as well with an extra room and kitchen. I like the alcove like area for the stairs and fire escape ladder. An awesome set. Bummed it sat in storage for a year. I just didn't have the energy to build it until now.

Star Wars - The 3-3/4 Inch Black Series - Super Articulated (SA)

When Force Friday came around and introduced us to the world of the new The Force Awakens Star Wars toys, many were already upset at the 5 Points Of Articulation (POA) figures as we were used to the Super Articulated figures of the last few years. I really couldn't care less, but others were a bit steamed.

Despite the distribution of 5POA figures everywhere, there was a deal in place between Hasbro and Walmart to test market TFA SA figures. They arrived a few weeks ago. Along with repeats of OT Luke, Darth Vader, and Chewbacca, collectors finally found super articulated figures of Kylo Ren, First Order Stormtrooper, Finn, Poe Dameron, and Rey. These figures had bendable knees and elbows and could hold weapons with better poses. Along with this series, there was the long awaited Leia Ceremony figure from the end of A New Hope. This is a pretty cool and new addition to anyone's collection.
