The Last Jedi Figures from Hasbro

I only purchased a few figures from The Last Jedi. Most of the figures (Poe, Finn, Hux, C3PO, Chewbacca) look just like their figures from The Force Awakens. That's a bummer. Change up the costumes a bit.

Anyway - cool figures and characters that look really cool, and the artwork on the packaging continues to be superb.

I did pick up a Chewbacca later because it comes with a Porg.

PAIGE

Really wish they would put other figures and the Collect them All on the back. Too much extraneous junk.

Marvel Legends Dark Phoenix and Cyclops Toys R Us Exclusive 2-Pack

The Dark Phoenix story arc in the Uncanny X-Men is one of the best arcs of all time.

Just look at these covers and tell me that's not an exciting looking story.

While we've seen plenty of Cyclops and even a Dark Phoenix variant in the Marvel Legends line, this is a great addition with the new Phoenix sculpting.

I had recreated the cover of 136 a long time ago with the 12 inch Marvel Icons figures.

Diamond Select Lady Deadpool

Don't know much about Lady Deadpool, but the sculpting, articulation, and extra accessories with the Diamond Select Marvel figures are outstanding.

This is a fun figure.

NECA Aliens Accessory Pack Sentry Guns

From the moment I saw Aliens, it has stayed in my top 5 all time favorite movies. It is near perfect with its story, action, special effects, and cast.

One day as I was flipping channels, I stumbled across Aliens on television. Of course I stopped to watch it. But then I noticed scenes that weren't in the original. Whoa!

One of the best parts of the Director's Cut is the scene with the Sentry guns. Basically, the team sets up automated machine guns that track and shoot at movement. The Marines set these up in two corridors and stop waves of alien warriors trying to get at them. Total awesomeness. If you haven't seen the Director's Cut, treat yourself soon and watch it.

NECA just released this accessory pack which has two Sentry Guns, assorted weapons, laptops, and other gear. Freakin' awesome.

Here is the scene:

And here are the toys!

Star Wars - The Force Awakens - 6 inch Shampoo Bottle Figures

So the 12 inch Star Wars Hasbro figures affectionately earned the nickname "shampoo bottles" because of their likeness to a tall, round shampoo bottle. The sculpting was kind of plain.

Sculpting has come a long way since the early days, but collectors still refer to them as the Shampoo Bottle line. I had heard rumors awhile ago that there were 6 inch versions of these figures. I finally came across a few at Walgreens. All of these were from The Force Awakens - including Rey, First Order Trooper, Captain Phasma, and C3PO - although C3PO doesn't have his red arm. And for what it's worth - none of the packaging actually says Force Awakens.

Once Upon a Time - Emma Swan and Evil Queen

Impulse buy. Have never watched this show. Thought the figures were cool. From Once Upon a Time, it's Emma Swan and the Evil Queen.

Monster High Glam Ghoul Band from MegaBloks

Though my daughter no longer has much interest in Monster High or building block toys, I still pick up the occasional MegaBloks Monster High set for a rainy day. Comes in handy when she says she's bored. So this is a cool set with eight mini-figures. Even though these seem to be on clearance, MegaBloks still continues to put out some nice sets.
